Zimbabwe Works seeks to capitalise its technical expertise, offering a range of programs through partnerships and direct implementation. Our focus is on 3 key sectors:

Education

  • Life skills training – to ensure young people have the skills necessary for full participation in everyday life.
  • Vocational and technical training – that prepares young people to work as technicians or to take up employment in a skilled craft or trade.

Economic

  • Our efforts are on providing economic empowerment to ensure the people we serve receive relevant entrepreneurship and business development services, mentorship, market linkages, networking opportunities and access to finance; all these in order to start and grow successful businesses. Focus is on trade, manufacturing, agriculture and mining all within the formal and informal sectors.
  • Entrepreneurship training – that enables the ability to develop, organise and run a micro, small and medium enterprise and make a profit.
  • Employment and work readiness training – development of skills and behaviours necessary to obtain and maintain a job.

Health

  • In partnership, with local health governing bodies, various Government Ministries and non-governmental organisations, our focus is on communities getting to zero new HIV infections, awareness against COVID19 and against substance and alcohol abuse among the young and their communities. Zimbabwe Works youth initiatives promote healthy productive lives.
